16th or 17th or something...
Skaife really seems to have trouble driving a car thats not perfect, he's been doing a forbesy for the last couple of days. You see, thats the difference between Skaife and someone like Lowndes, Lowndes can carry a less than perfect car and be competitive whereas Skaife simply just overdrives it and throws it at the scenery... |

Well done Rusty, great to see you have the ability to back up your statements.
Also well done to Brighty, I am looking forward to seeing how he goes tomorrow on (relatively) old rubber. Pretty smart thinking on TB's part, leaving themselves with two sets of new tyres (Weel's 2nd set also). |

As Perkins said on the ontrack tv, Larkham must be a worried man... Bargs is showing the true problems in that team and they are not technical

Hehehe
Russell must be extremely happy with himself tonite. Well driven and a nice way to shut up all the BS from disgruntled Holden fans. The fight between Skaife and Ingall could make for some very interesting post race stewards meetings! It's going to be a very good season IMO. |

I think the BA will reveal Larkhams future sucess or failure. Not much use worrying about the AUs anymore.
Seems like they make good Konica Cars though. |

If Bargs is so fast in Larko's old car. What the the hell are GRM doing? Maybe spreading themselves a little bit thin.
No spare engine for GT and Winncup's car going up in smoke. Maybe they should stick to the Monaro. |

I'm not sticking up for him cause hez a Holden fan. I have been following the Lansvale team since there birth and I would keep on following them if they swap to Ford. Its the team not the manufacture as I have owned Mazda's all my life.

It's very easy to win when you take out cars at the front isn't it. I think Ingalls going to need a new helmet as his head just got even bigger. Yeah I'm devastated that Skaife was so far back NOT, lets see how far behind he is when the real racing starts. Lets just say he won't be looking in front for cars, looking behind more like it to see Ingalls car in the distance.

Scott, actually Skaife took himself out, and one more time, Kelly should move right over and take the inside line if he wanted to defend his corner.
Basic racing stuff- if he left a car width (or slightly less) why wouldn't someone put their car in there, particularly in a race with no real meaning as far as points go. Blocking is different to a turn 1 situation and it was like a red rag to a bull for Ingall- if you give him an inch, you are toast- it's the way he learnt to race. |

Simon,
You are correct in saying that Skaife is having trouble driving a car that is not perfect, but remember he's still got a bit of time left before the Championship starts to get it as perfect as he can. I think it's a bit siplistic to say that he can't get a result out of a less than perfect car. It's more that he likes to get the balance of the car perfect rather than have to drive around its shotcomings- it's his preference to run his car that way. Lowndes is widely known to just "drive around the problem" in the way Brock could, but all the top drivers can do this. It is alos widely regarded that Lowndes has more natural ability than most out there, but knowinh exactly why a problem is there and how to fix it is arguably just as important especially in such a chassis-tuning formula. |

Well said Mac. Skaife doesn't come out and say stupid things like Ingall comes out with. Ingall needs to wipe his mouth cause of all the dribble that comes out of it.

A great weekend for Rusty and the BA. His performance is even better when you take into account the stupid move by Kelly into the 1st corner in race 1. Doesn't he know the rules of racing. Never send a boy to do a mans job. But, the officials decided not to take any action against him so I shall stand by the judges decision.
