Stoddart Interview - A Must Read
Everyone - especially the Stoddart "baggers" - should read the interview in Eerco's thread below - any chance of keeping it at the top for a few days?(Mods?)

One thing that sticks out is Stoddart's belief that the small teams are performing a service for the big teams by competing in the championship. I think its also true to say that the small teams wants to be in the championship for their own ends. That apart, he certainly seems determined to get what he believes his dues. He certainly has a preoccupation with Ron Dennis and Frank Williams and the most telling comment is that he should get everything from those two on paper. Certainly gives the impression that F1 is a vicious environment commercially. Its easy to forget all that while concentrating on the Montoya/Schumacher/Raikkonen battles. One is left thinking that Ron and Frank are protecting their cartel the whole time, but I would be interested to hear what Williams and McLaren have to say on the same topic. Stoddart appears straight up, but there is at least two sides to every version of events. That said, he seems to genuinely want an even keel amongst the teams.

Wow!! Good Article, but, FIVE PAGES! Had to bookmark it to read later.
As a matter of interest, do I take it that it is OK to post a URL for any copyrighted material that appears on the internet? What about a brief quote and then a URL? Surely can't be anything wrong with that.

somehow, Paul's view of what happened doesn't really strike me as that surprising. It sounds a lot like Ron as i see him. The one that surprises me is Frank though I'm a litle amazed at that |
