hehehe...
Well take into consideration that the circuit is half Monaco, half Indy 500. If a team is weak in either the slow or fast sections it will not be as competitive. A comperable circuit would be Interlagos with its long front straight and twisty infield. Indy's infield is tighter and does not allow any passing. Having said that: 1. Mika Hakkinen 2. David Coulthard (team orders) 3. Micheal Schumacher 4. Rubens Barichello 5. Ralf Schumacher 6. Heinz-Herald Frentzen (or perhaps Villeneuve) Does anyone know what the probability of rain at Indy will be like ? |

Pole: Michael Schumacher
Race: 1) Michael Schumacher 2) David Coulthard 3) Rubino 4) Ralf 5) Jaques 6) Zonta Note: Mika attempts to pass Schumi at the start, they collide and Schumi goes on, but a DNF for Hakkinen. Ron Dennis goes wild and McLaren protest against Schumi's victory |

gp19, the track can be run as a high downforce circuit. I don't think JV will do that well because of this. The lap is made or broken on the twisty section, which is where his weekness will be. Compare with Interlagos. But, I hope you are right.

I'm not even going to attempt this one, as I know nothing about the track, except that (according to Frentzen) part of it is really fast. So I'm not going to try!

Schu looks in a dangerous mood, so it's gonna be a very close GP. Since the track has 3 fast bends alongwith mickey mouse in-section, so the set-up is tricky. Its all down to luck but here's my few cents worth:
Qualifying: 1. Mika 2. Scumacher 3. Jacques 4. Trulli 5. Coulthard Race: 1. Jacques 2. Mika 3. Schumacher 4. Coulthard 5. Frentzen |

Well considering this track half Spa, half Monaco and takin' into mind who was second on the grid there on both occasions it's clear who will win this one - considering the high temperatures, Ferrari's bad tirewear and the Mac's extensive test on hard compounds - but now mister second on the grid will find his efforts paid off!
So grid: Mika, Trulli, TGF, DC, Fissi, JV Results: Mika Trulli (oh yeah!) Fissi (went the other side as TGF swerved on DC ) JV (went the other side as TGF swerved on DC ) DC (passed tiretroubled TGF in the pits) TGF |

If he is sutbborn he would be at F1 nowadays... If he was "there"... what difference makes ? What did he do in Monza... DNF ??? New chaise ????? Honda has what new engine for qualifying... Oh yes... I think the same as before... Hakkinen Schumacher Barrichello (or Coulthard) Coulthard (or Barrichello) Ralfie Frentzen |

Schuey, fast in both the fast and slow corners, though the McLaren's willhave the advantage in set-up.
I think Villeneuve's chances and experience at Indy are overstated-and we'll see some surprises ina race filled with attrition. 1) MSchumacher 2) DC 3) Salo 4) De La Rosa 5) Button 6) Herbert (If I'm right about any of these I'llbe very surprised) |

1. Mika H
2. Schumi 3. Barrichello 4. Trulli 5. Frentzen (it's time the Jordan's had a good race, or though I seem to remember thinking that for the last 8 races) 6. de la Rosa (because the Arrows will be so quick on the long straight) On another topic, I think the banking might help overtaking, as when I was watching the Michigan 500 a few months back it seemed to help by allowing cars to travel at equal speed on more than one line therefore aiding braking. But I'm not convinced that this will work for F1 cars with just one corner. Does anyone with more technical knowledge than myself have any ideas? |
