This sprint ran for the first time last year and so we made things up as we went along with me initially going to do course control then ending up as chief marshal. It was a great event with all the drivers getting at least 4 poss 5 practice runs then two comp ones and we finished at 4pm. There was some terrific driving especially around posts 7, 8 and 9 with the Mk2 escort boys sideways for most of this section. Please come along and support us this year you will enjoy it I promise

Welcome Fred, nice to see you've found us and are appealing for help here as well as "arm twisting" at sign-on.

Sorry, but I'm Donny for EuroBoss

Fred, welcome to Ten-Tenths.

I have made this a 'hot topic' and as such it will remain at the top of the forum. Hopefully you will be lucky and get a few of the guys and gals from here to come along and lend a hand.

Regards,

Stephen.

I THINK because Bramcote is a working army base you will need to volunteer to marshal because they check to make sure you are who you say you are when you go in. Also no speccys. If you volunteer then you should get a map (did last year anyway). P.S. Dont argue with the men with guns even if they are 4ft6!!

Unfortunately I am also busy that weekend on a house warming in France, shame cause it was a good day last year.

Just out of interest are there any restrictions on entries, eg no single seaters, and is the entry list still open?

For further information about this event, you will need to contact Loughborough Car Club. I am not involved with this meeting and so have no idea of regs etc.

Hi all...just got back the pub after this fine event. My role today was that of Chief Marshal, and as such I would like to have on record my sincere thanks to all the folks that volunteered and marshalled today. It`s fair to say that not many of them had marshalled a sprint/hillclimb before BUT I must say thank you to every one for a job well done...you all took notice of what was said in the briefing...you asked questions about anything you were unsure of AND you made sure with your radio use and general approach that the whole day passed in a safe and thoroughly enjoyable fashion...thank you!
Mind you..did you think it was as funny as I did when, just after talking about fire bottles, the guy behind me blew his computer up whith clouds of smoke emitting from the smouldering heap?
