Feedback to Jourdain and Gigante
Fellows,
I was asked by two friends to let you know that ChampWeb.Net has set a link for fans to post their thanks to Michel Jourdain and Gigante for committing to Champ Car. As this is a positive feedback initiative, I agreed to do that, thence I opened this thread. Please be welcome to visit that website and leave your words of support to Michel Jourdain and Gigante. Your comments will be forwarded to them. Regards, Muzza Last edited by Muzza; 19 Mar 2004 at 20:00. |

Has Gigante actually been confirmed yet? Sorry, I've been away all day and a little behind on the news.

Yes, Gigante has been confirmed. In fact, Gigante was who decided to keep Michel in Champ Car, which makes sense because very few people watch IRL in Mexico. Jourdain also seemed very happy to remain in Champ Car. It's bad news that Rahal will leave Chanp Car, but it's good news that Michel and Gigante will stay. It seems Jourdain will drive for Newman-Haas.

Thanks, as of yesterday, nobody was sure and all releases only stated Jourdain was staying in CART.

Good for them both! I have told everyone I know in California to buy from Gigante.
I will not miss Rahal. His national anthem has become KaChing! and there already enough of them around so one fewer won't even be noticed. |

I personally will miss Rahal. He has done a great deal for CART including stepping in as CEO when no one else in the world wanted the job.
By implication though in the quote from Liz: "His national anthem has become KaChing! and there already are enough of them around so one fewer won't even be noticed." Perhaps I am reading this incorrectly but it appears then that there are a number of owners in OWRS who feel the same way and apparently will not be missed as well. I wonder who they may be and if OWRS can afford to lose them as well. I have told all MY friends to buy a car at Bobby Rahal Volvo/Mercedes Benz. Last edited by JohnSSC; 20 Mar 2004 at 20:55. |
