Thanks Guys and Girls

I'd just like to say thanks to the Caterham chaps (and chapesses!) for the great racing at Mallory Park today. The first Caterham race was especially good - extremely close and, as far as I could see, clean.

Well done all of you.

Don't forget to get your entries in for the Plum Pudding Meeting - BARC Midlands have now received the permit from the MSA to run the car race parts and we'd love to see lots of you there.

Once again, thanks for the entertainment.

Thanks Shelia - I think most of us had a grand day at Mallory. A few more laps on the race distance might have been nice (not your area,I know). Got to say the Recticel barriers around the circuit seem to work well - I saw cars drive out of incidents (and continue racing) which would have caused red flags with armco in place. Funny how circuits won't spend a few more quid on something which can minimise race stoppages and, ultimately, save lives.

Race distances is an interesting one: BARC tend to be a bit short, and BRSCC a bit long if anything - certainly from the point of view of a spectator. A happy medium of 15-minute races would be my way forward.

Yep, we had a 20 minute qualifying session for a Caterham race. The race itself took around 9 minutes to complete!
