DTM: Brünn
First sessions looks like it's Audi's vs Opel this weekend, Mercedes struggling to keep up...with just Paffett & Albers able to set a time withing the top 10 in the 2nd session vs 4 Opel's & 4 Audi's.
Ekström will take the title this weekend if Albers doesn't score 4 points more than him (or Paffett 7). Although Albers & Paffett look safe to have another crack at it next year with the sudden decimation of available F1 drives with Sauber already sorting out it's second seat, Jaguar gone, and Jordan & Minardi quite possibly on the way out too. |

Think we'll see the DTM as the second major motorsport championship of the season sorted out tomorrow then.

Brno is the track. Brünn is the local city (I think).

Or it could have been that. But why do they DTM screens say Brno too? Argh!...(
Anyway - It's the same place. I'll use Brno from now on anyway, save me hunting around for that ü |

If Albers & Ekström work their way off the track - it's possible...but I can't really see anything but an Audi win happening this afternoon.
Is it raining in Brno too? Last edited by Hazard; 19 Sep 2004 at 08:37. |

CNN says its dry, and that it will stay dry, the humidity is 68%. I would love to have a rain race, sounds like fun.

So Ekstrom needs a second place and he's champ, right? I can see that easily happening with Audis locking the second row, but I am certain that Albers and Paffett will give all! We are in for a treat!

Albers retires. Ekström leads currently.
Albers collided with Tomczyk before his retirement and got a penalty for this. |

I'm Dutch but I'm glad Ekström won. Albers was idiot today, first hit Abt after he came out of the pits and after that he pussed Tomczyk of track! Even Norbert Haug was angry. Well done by Kristensen as well

What a way to christen your site...Swedes have won everything today!
Well done Mattias. Nice try Albers - better luck next year - they should all be here now. |

How did Paffett do? Where's he in the championship...would like him to get the runners up spot (im sure this week hasn't been good for him, Sauber drive gone, DTM championship taken...)

Paffett finished 3rd, he is now 2nd in the championship, with 3 points more than Albers.

Great race and congratulations to Ekstrom
The battle for second place in the championship is between Paffett and Albers so hopefully it will be a great last race of the season. |
