Bright to FPR
Is there any truth in the rumour that Jason Bright will indeed sign to drive with FPR in 2005 and at the same time establish his own team? If this is the case i would say his team would have to run a Ford.

Can't see it happening. I am sure the sponsors for his own team would want him driving the car if they are to put up the cash. And would FPR want a driver racing against his own team? could cause a conflict of interest, as well as the pressures of being an owner when he isn't even racing for that team? FPR have made some bad decisions but that would be really crazy!

MN reports that JBR will run a 3rd FPR car for Mr Ritter to dest.. oops drive in 2005... with "The Good Guys" and "Fujitsu" aboard.
Meantime Mr Bright becomes the spearhead of a Ron Harrop/Rob Benson megateam, with an incredible pressure upon them from the Blue Oval paymasters.... Does it make sense.. maybe.. why you would go to the trouble of building a team for yourself, finding sponsors, people, cars, equipment, only to drive for someone else... its hardly like you are in charge of your own destiny huh... |

IF....should be in there somewhere
It'a gamble going from a well sorted operation thats at the top of the sheets to one with very little results on the board, but then again Lowndes has done the same thing |

I have a solution for you Camaroz, if you dont think what I write is much chop, then dont read. You certainly seem to take an unhealthy pleasure at having a go at me, without actually contributing anything yourself.

Well its not that hard working for one team and racing against your own.
This season Greg Murphy has been competeting against his own team (Tasman Motorsport which is run by his Dad Kevin Murphy) SO i imagine that this is what Jason Bright will do, he ll manage the team from a distance. This way he can develop the team without the poor results and pressure that FPR had when they began in 2003. With Bension and Harrop FPR can very quickly become the leading Ford team competing with SBR |

Lansvale Smash would still be contributing a sizeable proportion of the resources required to operate the team however |

Interesting news, GTR. Is Mr Matthews still with the team and if so in what role?
Nice to see Mr Engel is back too. |

Bright doesnt deserve a superteam set up for him.
How many races has the whinger won?Stuff all,hes had more crashe than wins! FPR are stupid to sign him and then Ford to give him a team as well is completely idiotic. He doesnt even want to do it with Ford.He said he would rather stay in Holden but if he cant do it then business is business. Come on Ford dont be stupid. We dont need the ******! |

Agree with Mickcals,
BENSON-(Just back from building/testing 750 x 5L Nascar V8s annually for Hendricks 4 car team) AND HARROP one of the greatest engineers in the sport(if he joins FPR?) would make a formidable duo for FPR for 2005???if it happens |
