Autosport International Ã* NEC (merged threads)
FYI, if you are going, a must-see visit to the MIA stand is required- up close access to the Nasamax car if you are interested. Oh, and a yellow Ford GT on the Autocar/ Autoglym stand right next to it also.

What about the new livery of Scuderia Eccosse, how does it look for real? And Listers announcement?

The new livery (paint and not vinyls) on the 360 is a beautiful job.

Definitely going on Sunday myself. I'm looking forward to seeing the following cars: Ford GT40, Porsche 997, Maserati Gran Sport, Vanquish S, Dodge SRT10, Corvette C6, Ascari KZ1, EOS Supercar...
Would it be worth paying more to see the live arena section? Last edited by TerryC; 14 Jan 2005 at 10:27. |

By all accounts, this year's live arena is even worse than last years! I had a free ticket for the 2004 live arena, and it was very poor to say the least, so if this years is worse than that, I'm glad I didn't waste my time yesterday.
There's some good old Porsches & Jag's etc over in the historic section worth a look at too, as mentioned above. The Ascari is on the Evo magazine stand, on a slant, with a fence around it.....impressive piece of kit all the same though. Oh, and the totty on the Pipersort stand (with a race-prepared TVR Saggyarse)- white basques & stockings x4 ! |

Thanks for the reassurance. I won't bother with the live arena then. £18 for a basic adult ticket is expensive enough for me, especially most things are F1 related...
On a side note, I do like the sound of the TVR totty mentioned, did you see many P3 babes as advertised? Last edited by TerryC; 14 Jan 2005 at 12:30. |

As has been said there are lots of lovely sportscars there. Current and Historic.
I wished I could have moved the Ford GT so that it stood next to an original Ford GT40. It would hav been an interesting comparison. |

The Scuderia Ecosse livery is stunning, with excellent attention to detail. (On the SRO stand).
The Zytek is also on one of the manufacturing stands at the far end. |

Sadly the engineering stands aren't there after today so the Zytek may not be there for the weekend

The Le Mans Morgan was there on Thursday aswell, but it was opposite the Zytek, so may not be there now.
I would also say the Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari looks great. |

Must say I was a little disappointed this year (I visited on Friday) - no Aston Martin, no Maserati, no Audis, no Lister etc. etc.

the historic section was quite good, particularly the group c/imsa cars. i hadn't seen the nissan npt 90 before, it's a beast absolutely awesome.
but there weren't that many prototypes there, quite a few gt cars though. |

Autosport International
Just thought some would be interested in some coverage of this huge motorsport event held in the UK.
"To the old motor manufacturing heart of England, Birmingham in January? It must be for the grandly titled National Exhibition Centre and the Autosport International. For most of us in the business this is the turn of the key in the ignition for the season ahead, full of promise and potential. It is here usually that decisions are made, reality encountered and a bucket of cold water is poured over the wilder plans and schemes hatched in the lull between the end of the previous racing campaign and Christmas."
