Team Buick???
obviously there was news that there would be a Team Buick at the China round later this year. it was either gonna be the HSVDT (most likely) or possibly HRT. there was supposed to be an announcement about it but i havent heard anything. does anyone know when the announcement is going to be made or whats going on??? Thanks!

Maybe there's no announcement because there is no Buick dealers in Benalla
|

If a Commodore is rebadged as a Buick does that car then meet the rules of V8 Supercars. I know the cars are still built in Australia but are they then a Commodore or is it a case of there now being three makes of car competing for the V8 Supercar championship.

Isnt that old 3.8V6 engine that was in all VN/VP/VR/VS/VT/VX Commodores a Buick derivative?
Only stands to reason it could be called a Buick On a more serious note... Mr Porter was in trouble last season for allegedly calling the TKR car a Hyundai, and all he did was put earthmoving equipment branding stickers on the side.... What is most likely to happen is a full sticker job of the Buick name plate and logo, and the team will be called Team Buick for the weekend... yet still run Commodore VZs... |

Hmmmm....under the rule book, is manufacturer branding a "homologated part"? Could some issues if the Blue Oval and The Lion are, huh?
