DALY should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Edwina Overend Memorial Trophy 26th June 2005

Your help is needed.

Please can you try and enter this race. I had a meeting with Mr Ron Overend on Sunday who was slightly upset about the whole thing. He has evert right to be. The facts are that Edwina did alot of things for motorsport in the UK and last year we honoured her contribution with the prestigous trophy.

It will be presented again this year together with prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

Morgan Sports Car Club are running the meeting and the entry is £140. for those that want to have a second qualifying session and second race, (this is not obligatory, but an optional race) the charge is an additional fee, but very modest.

I understand there are other races in the UK, but of you are not committed, come and have some fun at Mallory. Anyone struggling with the entry fee, call me directly at my office on 0116 242 6990.

I would be interested in entering Peter but Infiniti will be at Anglesey so I will not be able to commit just yet. Unless I bring it on a trailer!!

Maybe you could approach another team to help run the car for the weekend?

Good shakedown for your new car RR? I'm sure a trailer won't kill it!

Surely there are other ways without going to such 'crazy' Lengths?!

Why not borrow one of Gulfs choppers to airlift it in?

nah a new VD is way too heavy for that!

Wont be doing this as it will be 3 weekends in a row - but good luck guys

Daly and Miller "hold up the Kok" or "pay for the Kok"

*tumbleweeds*

Justin

Completely over my head!

This is your local track, where you are quick and experienced

A very realistic chance for you to win a large trophy.

Significant prize money.

Very cheap entry.

No championship at stake, for you at least.

Come on...

What about a Mattray, Dawkins, RMR superteam - if you can get the trailers.

Think theres already one too many superteams in SOM thankyou very much!

Seriously though theres no way, not doing three in a row, half because of the cost and half because of the time. RMR you are welcome to borrow my trailer though!

Nice one JEB, as ever.

If the winner already has a 'free' entry??

There is still time to enter the Edwina Overend Memorial Trophy Race this Sunday. There will be a prize fund awarded on the day.

Please support the race, Morgan Sports Car Club are taking the entries.

There are about 13 entries to date with a couple more expected. Thank you to those who have entered. It should be a good race.

There is one more person who would like to enter, too. If you have a spare car for a very quick FF1600 driver, let me know. And no, the driver isn't me!

I'm sure there are several people/teams out there with cars ready to hire and drive.

Why not try, not in any order:

Marque Cars?
PA (if he's still got any)?
Team West-Tec?
Dave Morgan?

Get what you pay for! Like multiple championship/Festival winning car, top-line Bold motor, PI data, coaching and data comparison etc. etc. etc. Not to mention sandwiches...

I'm sure I spotted DALY in third on the (first!) grid at Donington in a one-off, after a lengthy lay-off and in an unfamiliar car.
