Congratulations are Due

Our very own b1ackcr0w (aka Ethnic, Bouffant Git) also known as Alistair Munro, was last night named by the British Hillclimb Championship as this year's recipient of the Moran Shield as "Marshal of the Year".

Very well done and much deserved for all your efforts in that un-sung area known as "The Paddock".

I must balance the very nice things that have been said by pointing out that I was in fact, to stupid to go and pick the damn trophy up

But thank you all, it's much appreciated.

did he get it because of communication skills in the paddock at gurston. Most drivers there now wear earplugs in the paddock and only take them out when they get in the car and put the helmet on. He is an intimidating figure striding across the bottom paddock about to advise some poor driver that he might have parked his car 2 inches out of line. Nice to see that you got recognition for your efforts and it really is a pleasure competing at meetings with you there. Stepbrat almost enjoys working with you as well. lol

It's amazing what you can achieve with a hairdresser's receptionist car and a dodgey hair style. It certainly got you noticed by the awards committee. Well done mate you deserve it.........but you're still banned from towing cars!

LOL, I've never actually broken one, close though it may be. I certainly didn't do it while it had a hill full of marshals onboard!

That sort of suggests that maybe we should include physical fitness in the training days
