I really like what they have done with the coverage. How good is their "Trax" thing where they track 3 cars at once? Brilliant

Crash, do you guys get the Fox feed in Australia or do you have a satellite?
Anyway, Fox's coverage is coming along. I was real worried before the season but they are doing a decent job. I still prefer ESPN's broadcast crew better. |

ech. I hate the fox track. It serves no real purpose, and even if you want to have dual telemetry, you don't need those lousy pointers cluttering half the screen, we aren't blind. Worse, in order to justify using the pointers, they have to go to wide shots where it is harder to see the cars. Why not just use normal camera angles and dual telemetry without the gimmicks.

I agree the pointer thing can get annoying...and Fox isnt to bad..even if they let commentators wear cowboy hats ???
I like the "Crank it up" bit but wish they would get rid of the little flashy light thing when they do it..but it does sound good on soround sound. its just a shame we dont get evry race covered Crash test but I was very impressed with the coverage of both the races at Texas. |

Probably the thing I like about the wide angle shot (like from the front stretch over to the back stretch) is that you gives you a much greater perseption of the speed of the cars. With camera focused in closely on the cars, you have no impression at all of the speed they are doing... isn't the main difference when you are at the track versus watching it on tv- the speed?

I agree Lee, always enjoyed him. Actually think he'd be better in the booth, but just get him on tv. I suppose he's keepin himself busy managin Jason's career, but still, sad not to see him around
