So will Bourdais be champ again at Surfers?
So will Sebastien Bourdais win a third straight Champ Car World Series title for the second year in a row at Surfers Paradise next month and be the first since Ted Horne?
He was close to it last time out at Road America and it will be inevitable he'll win the Vanderbilt cup it seems it's just a matter of when. I guess for the title to go to the last race AJ would have to win and Bourdais not finish at all. |

Bourdais will seal the title in dominant fashion I expect.

AJ has done really well to kepe up the fight in recent races, but it would take a strange race for it to go any further. Hopefully AJ woill stay in ChampCar to fight for the title next year.

Agreed. Bourdais has only finished outside of the podium twice this year, and both were because of Tracy knocking him out of the race. (Cleveland and Denver). For him to fall outside of the podium for Australia, something similar would have to happen.

We're turning green with envy Peter, give some feed back when you can.
About next year, I think the race for the championship is going to be WILD we have a number of very good, very aggressive drivers who believe they can win it or figure prominently. I think it's going to be FANtastic. |

Hey guys, this is my first real dabble in the Champ Car forum, and I don't think Sebastien will win at Surfer's. History just doesn't dictate it. The place has thrown up something different each and every time it's been held there. It is so unique in that way, and I think it may be a while yet until someone wins twice there.

I guess AJ will win Surfer's race but Bourdais will be near enough to clinch the title.
Quickly watched so not sure if it's 100% correct. Seb had 136 points after Milwaukee, AJ had 69 at that point. 67-point gap. AJ has then five wins against Seb's two. In other races, AJ has 3rd, 7th and 17th (DNF) place. Seb has pair of thirds, seventh (Denver) and one early DNF (Cleveland). But, he has taken much more of bonus points. Gap now is 58 points. |
