Well I would say #51, assuming that the 07 livery on the cover of V8X is correct anyway...

It does matter...
Brock was 05
Johnson 17
Skaife 2
Larko 10
Crompton 7
Gardner 4
Murph has made 51 his own

Even though the franchise does own the number..if a number swap can happen than thats great i reckon.

Should be more of it...would be great if Lowndes made a number his own.
Remember him saying 00 would be his number...but that did not happen..
888 is a great number but wont keep that if he changes teams in future

Ingall should of stayed 8 and Bright 4, after Gardner..Richo also should get a number...its called driver association for the fans, also market value....

Richo should get 11 then, he had it the most at Perkins Racing.

Nar...11 must stay at Perkins for lead driver
just as 17 should stay at DJR
34 at Rogers
They are the only Teams with number association.....

Numbers live with franchise licence slots.

Technically Tasman would need to request the number from TEGA, and at the same time perform a cash-for-digits deal with PWR to make this happen, perhaps even facilitated by Holden...

In the Perkins/#7 case, the #7 number remains with the new Walden-Romano team... as owners of that franchise licence slot... an appropriate level of $$ may see the number remain with Perkins however... Not sure what number that would get Mr Perkins as a replacement... maybe #07 or something?

If nothing has been announced officially, do you really expect to get an answer in an email?

From my perspective didn't the #51 carrying over from KRT to PWR with Murphy have more to do with tidying up the car numbers at both teams (so both had consecutive numbers, 15 & 16, 50 & 51) than Murphy having some 'attachment' to it?

Holden refer to Murph as Agent 51 in atleast one TV commercial.

Somehow, I don't think PWR are going o make an issue of the transfer.
