FormulaCar should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Top-10 FF events in Europe?

Hey folks,

I'm doing a little editorial research here. In each of your opinions, please rank the top-10 individual Formula Ford events in Europe. I'm sure that you're answers will include the Festival and the WHT, but what other meets would be considered as the elite? I'm working on a top-10 list for the World in terms of FF.

I'm really interested in seeing the results.

Thanks in advance,

Rob Howden

How about the Pau Historic Grand Prix meeting - it includes a race for Historic Formula Fords (Pre82) - check these links out:

There is nothing in Belgium or Germany. Holland has it's Duratec championship but no "special" events.

There is talk of reviving the Spa FF race again, used to attract about 80 cars from everywhere for a double header.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I really appreciate it. If you could, please PM me a little background information on the individual races so that we can catalog them. This piece will be intended as a world-support editorial on the Formula Ford category, one that will hopefully help build some strength into the class on a global scale.

Respectfully,

Please note, when talking about the Golden Helmet, the event will not carry the BRDC for 2008 onwards.
It will be a race called the Golden Helmet for Formula Ford 1600.

And we are delighted that it will take place at Castle Combe next year on Easter Monday 24th March, as announced in todays Motorsport News.

What a surprise!

Can't decide whether to be at Combe, Mallory (or even Thruxton!) on Easter Monday...

The Leinster Trophy. Where else can you get your name on a trophy that has previously been won by Hawthorn, Watson, Senna, Hakkinen???

The craic is good in Mondello bar too!!

Other winners?? Try David Piper, Bertrand Fabi, Tommy Byrne, Jason Watts, Tomas Scheckter, Eddie Jordan, Vincenzo Sospiri......
C'mon, add your name to the list in 2008, you know you want to!!!!

Us english need to start beating the Irish at the WHT or FFF, if we can't, what chance have we got on their home soil!
