Don't forget folks that, for those of you with no access to NASCAR on your TV, you can always download the free TVU player.

More accurately, with the champions provisonal still available to all champions, there's 17-18 cars shooting for 7 spots.
Also, it's probably worth asking. What the hell benefit do Michael Waltrip racing (amoungst others) get from filing 3 seperate owners for their 3 cars? |

Maybe because is MWR gets banned for running jet fuel in the carbs they can't take out all the other two cars....

If you look down the entry list it's about half and half whether they list different owners or just one. And in Everham's case, there's 2 of the 3 "owned" by Ray and Riggs' car isn't. |

Well, beacuse the other teams all have established owner points, and therefore don't want to forfeit their entry.
But MWR doesn't have any owner points... |

So all "new" teams should be doing this.
Still doesn't quite follow, Bobby Ginn is listed for the 01 and 13, the 13 being outside the 35. Ditto, all 3 DEI cars are "Theresa", when the #15 isn't top 35. I'm not saying you're wrong on the reason, but it's certainly not a constant. |

Alot of the car numbers, 'teams' have different owners, often different to the owner of the whole organisation, why this is I'm not sure, one interesting one is Jeff Gordon is owner of #48, while he doesn't own #24
http://www.jayski.com/stats/2007/sta...2007owners.htm I'll try to do some more research into it.... could possibly be so they can enter many cars in one race, I think the full time limit is 4, Roush had 6 cars in a race last year (Kenseth, Edwards, Biffle, Martin, Ragan and Kleuver) oh and to answer you question about how those cars with so much power accelerate so slowly at Daytona, it's all because of the restrictor plate, it basically halfs the power available. I didn't mention the #35, I'm presuming by context you meant to try and type #15 there.

Qualifying results: http://www.motorsport.com/news/artic...&FS=NASCAR-CUP
(there is a mistake, Dale Jarrett is meant to be 43rd) Mikey misses out Mayfield, Ward, AJ, Kenny Wallace and Bliss miss out again... Vickers, Menard and John Andretti got in I remember Fontana being a bit of a snooze-fest last time round, but it shuold be interesting anyway |

Use a proper source:
http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/2007/2/data/lineup.html Busch series should be good later. Hazza: All event coverage should be in 1 thread. It mkaes it much easier to find stuff. If people in the modernm age can afford internet and not view FREE LIVE Timing from nascar.com then they shouldn't moan about people discussing the race! I was looking for the results on Nascar.com, but it's useless (or maybe I am?) and I couldn't find it

Well, I'm moderator, and most of the time I have to catch the Busch race on replay
Seperate threads will remain. |

Sorry Hazza, but multiple threads isn't the way to go. People who are on tae delay are LESS likely ot see what happens with 1 thread then that are with seperate ones.
Truck race had some controversy I hear. Not downloaded the race myself yet. Busch qual order: http://www.nascar.com/races/bg/2007/...ual_order.html Shame there is only 41 Busch cars Last edited by Speedworx; 24 Feb 2007 at 10:55. |

Sorry? I'm not sure I agree with you, and my experiance backs me up here. The last thing I want is when i'm talking about the qualifying in the Cup race is Knowlsey blurting out the Busch result. Seperate threads makes sure that that doesn't happen.

Yes, two threads is the way to go. They are after all seperate races.
Makes things easier to follow. |

I prefer a topic for Nextel Cup and a topic for Busch Series. IMO there's no need for a spoiler/no spoiler topic.
