Can someone please tell me...

why the Production class cars now run at the same time as the Tourers??? (Yet another inane question from the BTCC dimwit...)

You mean the sprint race? well they run together now to make the race more interesting. The Tourers start 12 seconds ahead of Production Cars but have to complete 1 more lap than the Production class guys.
