The Midlands own version of Goodwood this morning, with a Ford GT40 being chased by Ian Flux in a Ferrari P4 and the pair of them deferring to a March GTP from the US which was by far the fastest thing on the track. The slowest was probably the Novice in a Morris Minor who to his credit did do a couple of laps unlike the Mk2 RS2000 who couldn't even fire up!

Other saloons seen out were pairs of MGB's, and Lotus Cortinas, a Legend. a 964, a Metro, a Lola T70, a Frog Eyed Sprite, a Caterham, a couple of Kit cars, an E Type Jag, a Chevron and a Radical.

The single seaters were lead by Simon Hadfield's March 763, chased by 3 F1 cars: an ex Alan Jones Saudia Williams, a Cooper and a Lotus. Also out was a Formula Renault, a couple of Vauxhall Lotus, a couple of Ford 1600's and 7 F.Ford 2000's plus a couple of F3 Coopers, a Sports 2000 and a Radical.

4 red flags due to crashes:
A blue MGB GT hit the barrier on the Stebbe Straight.

The Radical hit the barrier exiting Gerrards, causing a 20 minute delay as he did a lot of damage.

A Ford 2000 went through the gravel and hit the barriers in the middle of Gerrards.

A Sports 2000 hit the barriers on the Stebbe straight.

For the first time in ages there were more cars than bikes, the 30 or so solo's led by BSB rider James Ellison.
