REALIST has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Powercar Challenge

Any news on this yet? Will it or won't it happen?

You know, the Peter Wardle thing discussed at length ages ago, then called the challenge initiative or something.

I thought freedom of speech didn't apply to this subject and if either initiative or challenge were even whispered on this website you would get arrested?!!!

I tried to find the challenge initiative website a couple of weeks back and couldn't. I wonder if the people who paid up the money got it back or Mr Wardle is on holiday with it now!!!

funny how, as dasc04 says, freedom of speech on this was revoked and yet it would appear many of us were absolutely spot on all the while!

has wardle surfaced at any circuits to even test the car in recent months?

Hear, hear. Time and time again we asked for clear factual information, only to be met with fudging and prevarication. Does anyone seriously believe this series will ever see the light of day?

I seem to be a few steps behind here, am I right in assuming the Challenge Initiative has now become the Powercar Challenge?

Hi Guys,
Yes it will, be patient, if this was easy maybe A1GP wouldn't have reported *losses* of $217million.
Not something we want to get into so we are doing it in our timescale to be sure.

Peter

i for one do not believe it will ever materialise.

after all, peter has been attempting to get this thing off the ground since the mid-70s in one guise or another.

all it seems to me is that the drivers who are on the website have perhaps been led down the garden path somewhat?

and with peter quoting a1gp loss figures, he's still believing his own hype and propaganda.

I told you some time ago that I would be happy to go over our figures with you, just not on an open forum, but you never took up the offer.
Please therefore don't complain about lacking information.
I hope Jamie is doing well.
Regards,
Peter.

name some drivers then peter, or at least give numbers.

i'm not surprised to see you still conveniently avoid certain topics in your politician-like, blair-ite way.

what about the calendar and organising club?

Peter,

Giving information to me privately is not the point. Giving clear, unambiguous answers to the many questions that have been asked on this and the previous thread is!

I say this in the spirit of being constructive, in that if you care about overcoming people's belief that your series will never run, why not reasure them with some hard evidence.

Incidentally, no one is asking you to reveal detailed, confidential information. Why should you? However, explaining the headlines behind the continuing delays would surely be a positive piece of PR and have the effect of rallying people behind you. Not doing so just makes people more suspicious about what's going on.
