IMO Nelson should stick with the Reynard as it has forced him to manhandle the car and his results have improved because of it.

Yay for nelson! i guerantee he will at least podium and win before season is over as long as people dont do stoopid things to ruin his race. that guy smith will still struggle until he moves to a real team like mijack.

I hope he takes advantage of it and learns the way Lavin is.

That sounds great, I dont care much for phillipe but I do for Mijack and I'm sure running only one chassis will make things a lot more easier.

When Phillippe's dollars hit the podium, only THEN will I be a believer.

Well, drivergrOupie, I guess that this is the opportunity for Philippe to either prove you to be wrong, or prove you to be the only one with the insight.
But it's too bad that you "guarantee" a podium or win, because if you had opted to "bet" I'd call you up on it. |

Good news for Justin Wilson, this.
It means his efforts will no longer be hampered by effectively being a one-car team. |

I was surprised he wasn't in a Lola straight away. It should move him up the grid once he gets used to the car, and mayeb those who've been championing him this year will be proved right.

He had a Lola at PKV. Results:confused: It is good for the team to be able to concentrate on one chasis.
Indycool said it best: When Phillippe's dollars hit the podium, only THEN will I be a believer. Cheers to Mijack |

Indeed.
So it's unlikely having a Lola now will make any difference to his, er, performance. |

That's a good point, but it means the team will be better resourced for parts etc, rather than having to carry a split load of everything.

I agree that this is more of a logistical/organizational advantage than anything else. The Rookie Sensation does not generate enough speed to provide a great deal of useful data to the engineers.
Perhaps Wilson's primary benefit here is that the engineers can focus on one setup for one type of car - they can focus on optimizing his setups now instead of spending time on the Reynard. |

And should Wilson crunch the car beyond repair - he now has a backup

Now everyone hear knows that i really am a big fan of Lavin..
but i know he will not win a race this year, and unlike drivergr0upie, i will not put my money where my mouth is... Phillipe, along with Lavin, Gonzalez, Mazzacane, and Sperafico need a bit more experience to pop out results like Bourdais and Tracy. |

It's not just experience some of those you list lack, it's talent.

You laughed at Lavin and said he'd never be on a podium as long as he lived. He came second at RA.
And the moral of that story is never say never . |
