No Toca 2 it is the best racing game every, the only track which I do not hold the Lap Record on is Donnington Park International, never have been able to beat it alway either spin of at the Foggy esses or under the bridge at the bottom of the hill. Another problem with Donnington is that I ALWAYS get taken of at Redgate on the first lap and have to fight my way back.
An other thing has anyone tried Knockhill in a Storm in the XJ220, mad but great fun |

Yeh TOCA 2 is the best, and the fact that it uses the BTCC is wicked!!!
Donnington International is easy!, NO PROBLEM!! But redgate 1st lap is a NO NO! |

Actually, I think STCC 2 beats all 3 versions of the Toca in terms of feel and racecar dynamics. Toca 3 is good b/c it has more tracks to choose from. Have you guys checked out STCC 2 before?

Does it come in PC or Playstation forma? I have heard about the STCC games but never seem to have seen any in the shops.

I believe it's only in Swedish shops, but it can be had online at various gaming sites.
ToCA 2 is far and away the best of them. I like the extra, worldwide element of the most recent release, but the gameplay's absolute rubbish and it's not that much better in any other department to allow it to even challenge the original. Colin McRae 2.0 beats them all hands-down anyway... |

I liked TOCA 2, but...
The chance to race at Bathurst, Monza and Road America make TOCA 3(Jarret-Labonte Stock Car Racing in the States) my favorite.

I have to say I am useless and hubby not much better.
I get so frustrated with it that I take the tank out and blow the whole lot to smithereens.... I just sit there on the start finish and line up on Menu and he goes flying. I have been known to actually finish in the top 5 because there is no one else left!! |

Hey, if you can't beat 'em...
Yes, ToCA 3 does give the chance to race around the world's most famous tracks, but some are so out of scale, it's not funny. Bathurst is absolute rubbish for the most part. That's why the 'piggy in the middle' is, in fact, the golden memory... |

I have played all 3 and definitely agree that Toca 2 is the best of the bunch - Toca 3 got it wrong in terms of looks and gameplay, whereas Toca 2, once mastered, was thoroughly enjoyable - including the kool 2 player mode.

Have to agree with everything said.
ToCA 1 was very good until I played ToCA 2 and then ToCA 1 seemed totally rubbish afterwards. What is it with Redgate at Donington. Is it possible to lead through that corner without being punted off? As that seems the only corner in the game where that happens its not too bad but in ToCA WTC the other drivers seem to push you off the road at every opportunity. Its still quite playable though. I am on the final "quest" now, trying to win every race and take total points. The fact that the other drivers seem to cheat seems even more evident when you simply HAVE to win the race. Slight O/T from the thread but what car do people think is the best to use for winning all the races in a season? My personal preference is for FWD as they are a bit more accurate on the steering - the only problem is that they lack bhp. |
