Internations Cup News

Details of the English line up have been posted on the RSS website:

Division 1 - Tony Bell - Toyota Corolla
Division 1A - TBC
Super National - David Binks - BMW Mini
Super Series 2000 - Allan Tapscott - Vauxhall Corsa

http://www.rallycrosssuperseries.com/index2.htm

I suppose like a lot of people I'm a bit sceptical about the timing of this but would love to see it take off. Anyone got any info on who else may be taking part? Anyone been approached? Possible foreign entries?

I'm assuming going by the names that the only people with a look in on the English team are people who have been to every superseires round or something.

It wasn't the best planning in the world IMO.

It may have been better to run it as part of the end of season extravagansa for the superprix weekend, as I said in a previous thread!

Anyway I thought David Binks was going to compete in the remainder of the BRC and RSS events after RSS Lydden, well thats what it says in Motorsport News.

According to golfvanman on the 'where are they now' thread David Bink's mini is in a large number of bits and won't be out at Lydden either unless he gets some divine intervention.
I guess we will just have to wait and see.
Lets hope he can get it together by then

Thats what I thought at first, but the Internations Cup is not part of the RSS. The dates for the remaining RSS events are
RSS Masters May 29th Lydden Hill
Austrian Masters July 30th Greinbach
Swedish Masters Sep 17th Arvika
Rallycross Superprix Oct 28th & 29th Croft

The Internations Cup will be at Valkenswaard on June 18th and it will run on the same day as the third round of the Dutch RallyRacing Championship.

An internationscup over 2 rounds? Are they already scared that nobody would show up in Austria?

Think you need to wash your ears out. For the avoidance of any doubt the Internations Cup is only being held at Valkenswaard. Thats in Holland OAF in case you are unsure

Yeah, the RSS Austrian Masters is not part of the Inter Nations Cup. I think because of the Euro Championship on July 23rd quite a few of those drivers are hanging around for Austria the following week, seeing as the circuits are pretty close to each other. With any luck I shall make both events, unless I run out of cash!

No IC

There will NOT be an Internations Cup in Holland this sunday.

But next month in Valkenswaard they have the "British raceweekend".
Is somebody racing there ?

Looks like Tony Bell in his Toyota Corolla and hopefully at least 6 Minicross cars.
