Opinions on ITV's damn stupid weigh bridge Idea...
As you can probably tell from the title I'm not exactly keen on the idea. For those who didn't see it, tea boy Ted Kravitz suggested that we are all too confused after qualifying in that we don't know what fuel loads everyone is carrying (isn't that the bloody point !!). Therefore they suggested that there be a weigh bridge at the pit exit that the cars stop on just before beginning their qualifying runs.
To me that would take away the one thing we've been looking for for nearly 4 years - unpredictability. The fact that we don't know who's fast and who's not before the race is one a the main benefits of the new system. Why the hell would we want to get rid of that? |

You have to admit it's more interesting seeing two cars (who ever they are) sitting on the front row, but having no idea of their pace, than the case we had last year. If Ferrari qualified one and two you knew for a fact that we would simply drive off into the distance.

Isn't it much-much easier to actually ask them what will they do in the race? Why don't the ITV boys just ask them? And Damon, for those who do not receive ITV, you might be in charge for posting the replies. That would make a great fun in a thread in the Gravel Trap...

Quite right Damon. The way we can all guess and debate what strategies people are running, and how fast they really are, and who is on the right strategy, has been one of the main reasons why the racing ahs been so good thus far, and will be a big factor throughout the season. Seems like Ted doesn't really have a clue what the point of the new rules was, I wonder if it was really Lenny Kravitz's idea.

Of course not boots! But do you seriously think that they would allow their cars being weighted? Tsk tsk...
