Goodwood Revival
Anyone know when the info for the Goodwood Revival will be sent out? (Has it already been sent out and I haven't received it?!)
Haven't been to Goodwood before to marshal, so please forgive the stupid questions. Is there a marshals' campsite at Goodwood? If not, where do marshals generally stay over the weekend? Also, after being caught out by the GP, on the volunteer forms I put down for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, but do we have to sign-on on Thursday evening as per the GP, or is signing-on on the Friday morning? The campsite is next to the circuit (2 mins) walk. Level field with showers etc. Quite a few people arrive thursday. Sign on is each morning by Woodcote corner. Follow the large sea of orange! There is no local shop, chippie etc within walking distance 'tho. Need to drive to Chichester 5/10 mins away depending on traffic. Brilliant meeting you'll enjoy it

If you are looking for a good pub I would recommend the Earl Of March in Lavant. The food is good and reasonably priced. The landlord devised the menu himself and includes corned beef hash and the best homemade chilli you'll find anywhere. I think I found out his secret ingredient for the chilli. Be warned it is HOT!

Yep I think I've done it before - one of the earlier ones (2nd or 3rd) with messers Scott & Knyvett as Observers.
As always the company at the Revival enhances the experience. Possibly because most of us are truly enthusiastic about historic racing, rather than just turning up for the regular weakly clubbie. As for numbersix's concerns about lunch breaks, recent memory is that there was plenty of lunch time. But then in recent years I was on Woodcote and Chicane, both very close to the main spectator/attracion zone. |

Thanks for the lunch info. My good lady will be watching from the bank and we want to 'do lunch' at the interval. I'm really looking forward to the whole weekend. For me it's the best racing/racefun weekend of the whole year. |

Post 12F is situated before the entry to Woodcote (Woodcote has it's own flag point).
Post 6 must be Fordwater / No-Name territory |

I've just checked the timetable on www.goodwood.co.uk and it isn't very clear about the lunch break, with parades and things taking place.
From previous experience does anyone know how long marshals get to stand-down for lunch? |

Well, wherever post 6 is, you'll find me there too! Fordwater seems OK to me. Bring it on...rain or shine!
