I see we're in the camp site far, far away again and relying on mythical buses

How can you not believe in Santa. I've been there, those dragsters are flaming noisy, but I didn't see any reindeer pulling them. Or am I getting confused again ?

  • It's usually possible to sort out time off post to look at the show ground or paddocks, do this but don't spend too long off post so's everyone else can get a break too.
  • Make sure you get plenty of water
  • do NOT get covered in the cement
  • Enjoy it.

Keep your water bottles as taps are available around the site.

Think overall busses were better this year but they need a route away from in coming traffic.
Not sure what the outcome was for those marshals waiting last thing Sunday, but when Kevin (Chief Spectator Marshal) got in his car to go and sort it in the office rather than by phone, I took that as my time to leave - he wasn't happy!!

I dont know which route they took this year, but last year, the minibuses were leaving the campsite, cutting across car park E, over the road and through the golf course onto the hill.

which reminds me, that golf course is flat, close to the hill, away from the public - any chance of that for the marshals campsite next year?

This year full size coach-buses were used. Biggest problem was road across golf course which was also being used by ambulances, police vans, etc. which did not leave sufficient width to pass easily.

Use the golf course for camping -- which planet are you from??

The wife had failed to consult my daughter before deciding on Friday, so now the only day they can attend would be Sunday.

If anyone would like a Saturday or Friday ticket in exchange for their Sunday it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
