FRC 2013 - ALMS Round 1: Sebring
The Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring is a mere 2-weeks away, so it is time to get the predictions thread up and running. It is a new season, and everyone is starting from scratch. The format this year is very similar to the previous seasons, and the official 2013 rules can be found here. For those of you unfamiliar with FRC, please read the rules and regulations, but in a nutshell, you try and pick the top qualifier winner for each class. This will be a special Sebring, because it is the last to be run under the ALMS series banner. It is also the last to feature LMP1 cars. There is a tremendous grid entered for the race that includes the regular season ALMS teams along with a few entries from across the pond. FRC entries are due by the start of qualifying at 13:15 local track time on Friday March 15th. The race starts at 10:30 local track time on Saturday March 16. Don't forget this is a double points round!

I knew I was doing something wrong...
Joeb, please don't fault me for my stupidity. I didn't realize I could make more than one prediction per FRC slot, and now I realize it is a more complex system than I once thought... you pick two or three, you get less points. Could I please re-enter? With that in mind, here is my updated entry... LMP1 P: #1 Audi R: #2 Audi, #1 Audi LMP2 P: #055 Level 5 Motorsports R: #01 Extreme Speed Motorsports, #95 Level 5 Motorsports LMPC P: #18 Performance Tech R: #8 BAR1 Motorsports, #05 CORE Autosport GT P: #4 Corvette Racing R: #97 Aston Martin Racing, #3 Corvette Racing GTC P: #30 NGT Motorsports R: #22 Alex Job Racing, #30 NGT Motorsports |

No problem Beetle, you can change your picks as much as you need before the start of qualifying.

Well if this isn't a walk in the park for Audi for the overall win I'll be surprised!

Level 5 got sneaky with their numbers, so I'd like to adjust my LMP2 picks to:
LMP2 Pole: #551 Level 5 HPD Race: #551 Level 5 HPD, #41 Greaves Zytek |

No worries on the Level 5 numbers, if anybody picked the 055 that will be automatically transferred to the 551, and same with 095 to the 552.

Ahem, well this is akward.... The Sebring round winner is ME! Don't worry, this won't be the norm! As always if you see any errors in my score keeping, please let me know.
Some facts about this round: Average Score: 16.5 Nobody picked the PC winner Nobody picked the GTC pole isynge had most qualifying points (4) Look for the Long Beach thread to open in the first week of April.

Pleased to be getting into the prediction season - always a good antidote to usual office banter which in the UK generally seems to focus on monumentally over complicated fantasy football efforts. |
