Think it's probably because Mika went a bit stale towards the end of last season.
It's left a bad taste in his mouth. He should have been more behind DC from the beginning |

i think it's more than just the end of last season, obviously '98 and '99 were good years for the mclaren team, but the last 2 years have been abit disappointing, so with mika "resting" this season, it's a chance for a new challange!
as they say......a change is as good as a rest! |

Bad taste of sour grapes maybe? Hearing Ron giving positive PR speak for both his drivers is like a breath of fresh air to us too, from "brain fade" comments and the "Somebody cheats" comment... Poof!

hehe but seriously, i think this season we're going to see more fireworks, specially with more teams becoming competitive with their cars.
