name the driver you wanted to win....all time
We always talk about those that do become WDC, or those that do win a grand prix....
What about the drivers that show so much potential, so much talent....but because of circumstances never get their first win, or that come close to winning the WDC.....but dont make it.....Who did you want to win at least one race...or be WDC... For me the one that would have been WDC...Gilles Villeneuve, he could have been world champion but he stuck to his promise and helped Jody win it....in 1982 he would have been world champion.... Ronnie Peterson also comes to mind.... |

Bobby Rahal, Alex Zanardi, Eddie Cheever, Michael Andretti, Stefan Bellof... Mark Donahue was before my time, but deserves to be on the list.

Mike Hailwood-so much glory on two wheels and so much potential on four... Second at Monza isn't too shabby.
Regaazoni nearly won the WDC in 1974. Maybe he wasn't championship material, but he was a racer. Lole should have been WDC. He was probably the coolest guy ever to race in F1-Mr. |

Derek Warwick deserved to win at least 1 GP. It still makes me mad that he never won one...
