Dear Aki2005,
The Formula 1 season is convered in the United States by the Speed Channel, a motorsport-dedicated broadcaster owned by Fox. Speed Channel is available by cable or by satellite in most of the United States. Check the Speed Channel website at http://www.speedtv.com for further details such as coverage in the area you will be living. Cheers, Muzza (another expatriate living in the United States) |

It is pretty good coverage.
David Hobbs is the primary. Rick dBruel is a secondary. I think they have him there for comic relief. He don't know jack Someone will pit from running in second and he'll make some comment about the leader like, "What Juan will be doing now is crank out a couple of his fast laps." Like he wasn't already doing that the be leading Aside from Rick the druel, the whole crew has prior ties to racing and F1. |

The Ausrtralian GP will be broadcast on Speed, Saturday Mar.6 at 9:30 PM.
Mar.4 (practice 11PM) Mar.5 (practice 9 AM) Mar.6 (Qualifying 9AM) There coverage is quite good, but just to let you know, f1atic, Rick DeBruel is out and Bob Varsha is in. No more comic relief! |

Where are you staying in the States? I bet a 10-tenthser will be happy to invite you over for some racing on Sunday mornings (or Saturday night, in the case of the Australian GP) along with some lox & bagels (or grits & bacon, if down South).

I really enjoy David. I didn't know Bob was coming back. I liked him a lot better then the last guy. Is Steve Mathchet? (can't spell) still going to be on. I like him also.

Yes, Matchett will be there along with Hobbs and Peter Windsor. I enjoy there race calls also.
I'm just glad there around to give us a good, steady, and consistent diet of F1! Who knows what kind of coverage we would have without them and Speed Channel? |
