Race fan slices up Klien!
Christian Klien will have to miss the Jaguar Racing test in Barcelona this week after cutting his finger badly on a fan which is used for cooling the brakes of the cars. The Austrian had picked up the fan because he was hot and wanted to cool himself down but one of his fingers slipped through the protective grille around the fan and into the path of the fan blades. The top of his right forefinger was cut deeply and Klien was taken off to hospital to see what could be done.

After reading the subject, I thought an angry "fan" had taken a knife to the lad!

Is this just another Jaguar Racing PR stunt.
The conversation in the pits and Jaguar: "Hey, I have a part that will make our car 2 tenths quicker!". "That won't get us any column inches, we're not in it to win you know. I've got a better idea. Fetch the fan..." |

I think all the pit crews should put signs on any potentially dangerous items saying,'If you are unsure of what this item is, please leave it alone and walk away.' That should stop any fools thinking a socket wrench is a bottle opener or that blue anti-freeze is blueberry juice.

Jaguar are only after Klien's money - they don't care what actually happens to him...

Maybe they're just looking at ways to reduce weight...

Klien will eb fit for France though. I hope he can have a better time of it than in North America - his chances of followign Wilson to CART won't've been done any favours.
