AdrianM should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sounds like he's going to work at a team and the FIA didn't want him giving that team any advantages with the directions that would be discussed at meetings.

I fully expect he will be replaced so I doubt it will make any difference to where F1 is going.

If he was going to a rival team, I would think that 3 months gardening leave wasn't anywhere near long enough. Needs to be more like 15 months.

Yes, three months seems extremely short. While his background is in aero, he was the head of that department, so I assume his current knowledge of what ALL teams is doing is extensive. Should we place bets as to where he ends up?

3 months is surprisingly short, it's generally up to 2 years in this industry from my experience. Can understand other teams being upset but I doubt it would be the golden ticket either.

He's already nearly a month into his 3 months off, working on making his garden look nice. Renault are talking of adding another 3 - maybe 4 months to make sure his garden looks really, REALLY nice. Back to work in late March - early April 2018.

Christian Horner says that Budkowski should be out for 12-18 months to protect the teams.

Apparently Budkowski spent most of the week leading up to his resignation crawling all over the Red Bull facilities and the 2018 car design specs.

FIA looks to be a bunch of rank amateurs running a professional sport.
