Bell, Magic Mike
Most of you know that our Mike Bell is fighting severe cancer at the moment. I know he is in a lot of pain but keeps an eye on us here when he can.To try and keep his spirits up lets post pictures, stories and all the fun we have shared with Mike.
He has just come past start finish line and we are keeping everything crossed and praying he can get through these next few laps. Mike is fighting with turn in under-steer as the the tyres are shot "come on Mike",Power back on and snap!!! oversteer as he exits the apex through these last few corners,"come on Mike".All this and having to pump the brake pedal as all the the fluid is cooked through this long race "come on Mike",Now running low on fuel and engine coughing and surging," come on Mike". We wait and look on timing screen and there is a shunt at turn 10, oil, all over the track "come on Mike".So we wait and wait for our Magic Mike to come into view,we are all routing for you.You can do this Mike there are many more laps for you to drive."Come on Mike" Keep fighting.. |

I spent a day in the safety car with Mike at one of Claire's 6 hour races, it was a real pleasure to be in his company and he's always been a really friendly chap on the other occasions we've met up at various circuits.
As a true racer I'm sure Mike will keep fighting until he triumphantly crosses the finish line winning this race. Keep fighting Mike, you can do it Iain, that's a wonderful opening post, many thanks for sharing. |

A good bloke. Always in my prayers Mike. God bless you.
1) Safety car driver at Snetterton. 2) A smile to brighten a gloomy paddock. 3) Leading the works Morgan at Silverstone. |

Haven't spent a lot of time in Mike's company, although I pitched in with servicing duties when he came up to Oulton a good few years ago, and he remained perfectly equable even when one wheel nearly fell off......I don' t "think" it was my fault........
The world's lost a lot of people recently, but we can't afford to lose one of Mike's quality - Keep Fighting, Mike - we're here for you ! |

I have never met Mike in person but we have exchanged emails and banter within the forum and have always found him helpful cheerful and an all round good bloke, a picture others I have met who know well well have confirmed.
Mike, even from the other end of the world people are hoping and praying for the very best for you. Ten years ago my Mother was given a week to live with advanced breast cancer and after a bit of a fight she is running around like someone half her age now. Keep fighting Mike. You have a big team of followers and friends here on your side. |

I was doing European Championship Rallies in the 80s .
In 1987 using a Toyota Gt in Gp N 1600 . At Flanders that year Mike turned up in a Peugeot 205 GtI & beat me to win the class . I think it must have impressed Peugeot Talbot Sport because next year Flanders became one of their British Championship rounds & about 50 of them were entered on that event . I am sure that we all wish him well & KEEP FIGHTING MIKE. |

I've no photo's to share (and for Bauble to critique!) as I've only 'met' Mike on here where we've shared a few discussions and I have learned a lot about hime from all of your lovely comments.
Keep fighting Mike, you can do this. |

Keep fighting Mike, lots more memories to make, but for me they might not better the time you helped me & Delta in the Autosport 3 hour - an insignificant result but a highlight for me as after all the apprehension everything went exactly to plan and your fuel strategy was spot on I think it was the last running of the event, it would have been great to have done it again with what I learnt that day, but sadly no pics.

#keepfightingmike Got very few pics since I usually have the pleasure of sharing the track with Mike. However here's a couple from the Classic 2018.
