Just seen that Proton have changed their livery. Huge shame - I thought it was the best car on the grid, and the replacement doesn’t really suit the lines of the 963

I did prefer the original, I must admit.

It’s because they are sandbagging.
I win. |

Looks sunny in the morn, with some cloud cover in the afternoon. People should get some good running in.
Here’s the entry for the test day: Quote:

The real question is should I practice some procedural things, and stay up all night long to catch the first practice session?

That’s a good plan. Or practice taking photos of your TV with mildly interesting things in front of it to show the forum.
I’ll be practicing getting RLM in the car. I won’t be practicing analysing lap times this year I’m afraid. |

I'm pretty cheesed off not to be there for it. My original plan was to be at Le Mans by last Thursday afternoon but personal issues have intervened and I won't be leaving now until Tuesday morning. I didn't watch much of the YouTube coverage of scrutineering (which I would have gone to of course) and I was intending to head out to Arnage/Indianapolis this morning and then to Mulsanne Corner this afternoon to watch the sessions from there. It's even more annoying that there is no live streaming of test day. Poo!!!

Morning Comrades.
I am just getting silence from the RLM stream, have I pressed the wrong button, gone deaf, or have they not started yet? (Edit: started up now, after several minutes of a car review) Last edited by Truckosaurus; 9 Jun 2024 at 08:13. |

Times are already right up there with last year's test day after less than half an hour on a green track!

Which timing are you using - the FIA WEC page is showing me all the cars but no times..... .... which I realise now is because it seems to be set up for the Wednesday first session? Right, found it now.

Do we know if Trussers is actually on site or is in the Woking Data Centre? Or is that now the IOW Data Centre?

Yeah, it's working for me now on my pc.
I'm using this - https://fiawec.tv/sportitem/66508c4b22889f281cbebaef Expert mode shows the sector times. |

No more than James has said at #19. I haven't been listening for a little while.

Back running again.... I'm confused. It's now showing a 3:32 for a BMW as the fastest lap??? OK, for some reason the times are now out of order on my screen....

So it's going to be very confusing for the remainder of the session unfortunately. Unless they reset it afterwards. If anyone is on Twitter and just wants basic running updates, this guy is all over it - https://x.com/EwanAWane |

Presumably the usual procedure of running the first session as if it's a race so they can practice SC procedures etc. Cars listed in order of number of laps completed.
