So this is a strange one this year, 26 entries confirmed despite DSC and S365 reporting 40+ entries in June.
Still no official entry list with full driver listings, and the test sessions start tomorrow. Gulf 12 Hours 2016
So basically, in the fight for outright win in pro is essentially:
1 Kessel 488, 1 GP Extreme RS01, and 1 Dragon 488. Then we have two pro am cars, the optimum Audi, and the Spirit of Race 488. After that the rest is Gentleman Class I'm interested to see how the LMP3s shape up, last race we saw these combine other than Asian Le Mans was the Road to Le Mans race in June. The GT3 cars were BOP'd back then, so interesting to see how they manage now. Looks like the P3s are mostly am drivers though |

The previous years the race was dominated by the GT3, It was a Ferrari 458 the winner in both years. The Wolf GB08 could not be the pace of the GT3.
This year there are 4 Ligier LMP3, I hope that the organizers will adjust the level of the GT3 restrictors, to have a hand-to-hand fight GT3 and LMP3. If the LMP3 dominates it is going to be very boring with only the Ligier in the lead positions. |

The Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 took the laurels in the race and the GT3 class.
Great also to see the Scuderia Villorba Corse Maserati MC GT4 winning the GTX (GT4) class. The car driven by Zamparini, Chodzen & Chodzen performed faultlessly all weekend. More here: http://www.gulf12hours.com/ |
