Throttle Body Repair
That carby base that cracked on our 13.4 :1 engine is a weird size and years old. Looks like cast steel. How do I repair that or should I just bin it and spin another up out of something else? ...trikes

Hi Trikes
Is it the carby base or the adaptor that is cracked? Seems weird for a carby to be steel. If it is the stromberg mentioned in another thread then it is not steel, thats the good news! The bad news is that it cannot be welded. The only thing that I could recommend would be 24hr Araldite, it has very good strength and fatigue resistance and is immune to most chemicals. Tony |
