No point in subscribing next year as half the races seen to be free you would think for subscribers that we wouldn't have to get those long ads now that it is free. Also The Champ Car yearbook, orded that in March, now it is nearly October and still it has not arrived, also contacted the website and they have ignored many people, yet they took the money out. |

What the heck happened to Tracy?
If they're running the same aero package as last year, it's a pure setup track, I'm really surprised at the variences. |

Looking at the times, I just can't understand what is going on. These guys are in spec chassis, engines and tires. The track is driven flat-out all the way. You'd think that the times would all be pretty close to eachother.
P4 is a quarter-second behind P1. P10 and deeper are all over a half-second back. Sperafico is a dismal -1.042s. |

Awesome job by BW. Now the question is, what will mess up his race this time? More silly team screw-ups? Another track worker brainfade? Stay tuned folks

Only a few drivers are all that far away from their team-mates, so it definitely looks as if setup is the biggest issue here. I really hope HVM can have a good race, they were strong on ovals last year and are clearly in a bad financial state. Bremer and Philippe have shone somewhat in qualifying as well, perhaps more so than Marshall.

Not to disparage some of the rookies, but on an Oval like Vegas it comes down to setup more than driver input IMO.
Sebastien Bourdais #1 McDonald’s Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone: “It just felt like my McDonald’s crew on every single piece of tape on the car, you know, pushing me around. It's pretty much a good summary to what happened today. I think it's all to their credit what kind of performance we get in this qualifying. Kind of taking myself out of the picture really because in qualifying, just really put the foot down and it's all about the team effort. Obviously they proved to be extremely good at that. So during the race it's a bit different story, and you have to have a good ending in traffic. Hopefully we'll be able to achieve that again as well as we did last year. It should be a good race. It was really spectacular last year.” In practice 2 from Friday night, run under conditions that will be similiar to race day (night) Marshall and Wirdheim both dropped off. PT meanwhile was quite excited about the handling of his car, and said it will be a good race car. Other than garnering a championship point I don't think Qualifying counts for much when it comes to this race. |

The race is shown in 36 hours in Australia. I don't know why stupid Channel Ten can't show the race live. Every race except Korea (because of Moto GP and F1) could be shown live in Australia because of the time difference.
