I have heard that the grid will be pretty full with the usual suspects: Aston, Porsche, Jaguar, Nissan, Spice, Tiga. Most of these cars have run pretty regularly in the Group C series so the reliability ought to be pretty good--way different from GT90s where the cars have not turned a wheel for years.
Group C supported a LM legends race a few years back and there was good racing. |

Porsche Spice Mazda AM Jag to name but a few but there is also a C9 being prepared.
I am trying to put Kinimitsu back in the most sucessful 962 ever which has now been prepared ready to run. |

Does anybody know if there will be a 962-Gti there ? If so , what colors are they running in this year ? Or my favourite team , Brun Motorsport ..... any running in Brun livery this year ? Any info at all would be nice . |

Try over on the Historics forum, under Group C Testing Snetterton thread...
Sheesh. As to what turns up? Depends on what's running at the time! I remember watching the McLaren F1 at Silverstone GT90s being packed away, as the list of faults included NO tyres, and a door that wouldn't lock... |

These things come and go. Stuff will likely turn up and not run or run very little. We'll be lucky if everything runs.

The Advan being japanese champion 85/86 and 87 thought it would be great to put the japanese driver back in it.Met with the guys from yokohama at sebring and they would love to see it so its all ready to go.Just need to set up Kinimitsu.
Its not mine so wont say too much about the C9 but 2 swiss citizens are in the UK at the moment looking at it!! Spa will be a push but will be at Le mans I am told. The C11 was recently bought aswell which I missed!! Dont think that will be seen again in anger. |

This is the 1989 Jean-Louis Schlesser World Championship winning car. Restored by Sauber in 1992, subsequently sold to Coxx Kocher, she has just been sold again (in March) to Australian Rob Sherrard. The car will be one of 33 Group C's currently entered for the 40 minute race at Le Mans in June. Amongst those 33 cars are 1 Aston Martin AMR1, 5 (different) Jaguar XJR's, 5 Nissan, 7 Porsche 962 and the one Mercedes C9 which will carry the number 1 on it's silver livery in the race. If the P3 was the star of the 2007 Le Mans Legends race, the C9 will surely steal the show this year! (Can't wait! ) |

How many C9/C11's are in customer hands?
I know there was one C11 competing in the US, but haven't seen any C9's in historic racing yet. Now all we need are some Toyotas and C1 Mazdas. PS, is the big Silverstone Group C race still on the Sunday? Provisonal Timetable Friday 25 July 12:25 - Practice 7 - 30 minutes Saturday 26 July 10:30 - Race 3 - 30 minutes Sunday 27 July 16:30 - Race 21 - 90 minutes Last edited by JAG; 1 May 2008 at 15:51. |

http://www.groupcracing.com/cars/21 The pink car I think belongs (belonged?) to Henry Pearman, but doesn't seem to be on the car list on the site at the moment |

With 33 cars on the entrylist for Spa in 2,5 weeks time it should look good for LM as well

So looking forward to the return of the Group C 'spectacle'. For me, it was the undoubted highlight of Le Mans week in 2004, a real treat. Roll on 17:30 on the 12th June! |
