Looks alot like the mp4-19.
Ugh... what an ugly car, even for F1 standards... |

They are still trying out old parts, looks like they were running with the 2005 front wing too today.
It does look like the "anteater" nose has made a return... |

It does look very 'insect' like from the front.Perhaps Mclaren have been looking at the animal world for inspiration. |

I think it looks amazing yet ugly at the same time!
I didn't really like the 'anteater' nose from 2004, so i'm not sure i'm going to like it this time round. Some fantastic details shown on the close up photos, like the back-end and the front wing. |

Hi
Ugly.... ASCII Man? I don't think it's any uglier than most current cars. Maybe the rules should change to reduce the number and/or size of winglets and "bolt on" areo devices etc. It would help cut downforce and turbulence making for hopefully closer racing as discussed in another thread...plus the beauty of line would return as a bonus...lol. I do love the return of the orange though. Glorious. If they keep it, especially with many dark blues and whites this year it will certainly be easy to spot anywhere on the track. Cheers Peter |

I like it, I was a fan of the MP4/18-19 and last years car looked great as well. A nice improvement. Wait for the final livery and then make a final comment as I think the lines will show up more when the final livery is revealed.

it's not uber pretty, but once in "normal" livery will be easier to see and judge i think...

I like the colour of it and most of the bodywork looks good.
I hate that nose though! |

Both the 2006 Ferrari and McLaren look like mere updates of the 2005 cars, in both cases, its the front nose that looks different.

as many others have said it could be just the colour/ lack of livery, but my impression is that it lacks a certain symmetry.
that being said i still do like it. |

I would have thought that after last season, they will work especially hard to make the car reliable.

Yes they are, which all adds to that 'insecty' thing IMO.
Apparently it stopped out on track because of an oil pressure problem, which usually means that there wasn't any left to pressurise. |

Click and enlarge the 2'nd pic on this page, of the rear end of the car. Is that a wing at the bottom, underneath the bodywork? That is a very different butt end, that one.
