Hamilton. For trying to get back in the race with a car on his top after an accident he caused.
Seriously, Ricciardo. By the way how many decades ago did we see a McLaren 1-2? Although I'm a tifoso I'm glad to see them back on top. |

Ricciardo, no question, with nods to Norris and Bottas.

Ricciardo. Took Max at the start and controlled the race from there.

Bottas. Won the sprint race and started the GP from the back of the grid to finish on the podium.

Daniel for sure. Lights to flag, essentially. Brilliant start and no mistakes. Kudos to Lando and Valteri.

Some drivers did not cover themselves in glory at this trace. Lane really need to drive with his head. Making Seb loose three positions is the kind of driving that made the team with the Pink Mercedes look lacklustre even though they had one of the fastest cars.
Then there's Perez that really need to read the rules on how to behave when you overtake off the race track. I do admire his skill with tire management, and I do admire his racing, but what the heck is he doing? I guess he is pushed on by the two biggest idiots in the business, Horner and Marko. Well. That over with, let's talk about the positives. Valtteri! Valtteri! Damn, that was good! Dripping with confidence, winning the sprint and then overtaking like there was no tomorrow. I loved that. But, the McLaren man in me can't give the point to anyone but the honey badger, right? Lando driving with the ruthlessness and the speed we have come to expect, but the way Danny went for it into turn one and then just flew down the track. Danny Ric, the man of the day for me. |

Valtteri Bottas. Fastest in qually on Friday. Won the sprint race on Saturday. Started the main race from the back and came all the way through to third.
I understand why lots of people vote for Danny Ric, but I think that's partly surprise after his disastrous season up to the summer break. You could also pick Lando, who got his best ever position in his short F1 career, and who could probably have passed his teammate for the win if he hadn't decided to play the team game. |

I fancy Christian Horner is pushed into being an idiot by Marko, and possibly Mateshitz too. He does it very well though, at times. |

You're so welcome. Quote:
He excels. I am a bit surprised that Marko is not all over media talking cr*p about Lewis, but maybe even he has a decent bone in his body when realizing the fact that without the halo, we would probably have seen a fatality this race day. |

Verstappen: 'I don't fully agree with the penalty as I believe it was a racing incident.' |

Oh well, it would have been nice, wouldn't it?
If Max ever manages to win the title, he will go up there will the flawed geniuses like Schumacher. I wonder what people like that feel if they actually manage to kill someone with their antics? |

Yes, I just took the excuse to vote for Dani Ric. Not that it is much of an excuse.
I see the Bottas and Lando. I thought Lando’s move to get second was very good. Bottas had the advantage of a new motor, but that is being picky. He deserves it too. |

Brilliant Bottas.
The Mercedes team is now feeling deep regret in letting Bottas go and signing Russell. You could easily read the regret all over Toto's face during the race. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk |

I thought Leclerc was excellent today. Did incredibly well to stay in touch with faster cars in the first half of the race.

....and who doesn't get any consideration for dotr would be Max for not even checking up on Hamilton. I initially thought Hamilton had jumped out by of the car without me noticing because Max just walked on by. I rewound the race just to see if there was a helmet in the cockpit and there was.

It could have been Lando whom I admire , or Bottas, but I'd give it to Daniel Ricciardo who won the start and then held it basically from start to finish and captured fastest lap at the end. For someone whos had so much stick from some quarters it was delightful justification.
And no, I'm not an Australian. |
