DTM specifications
Hello everyone, I am very interested in finding specs and pictures of DTM cars without their outter shells. Especially the cages they use on the cars, so can someone please direct me to a link to some of this information. I have been searching around on their DTM.de site and have found alot of really nice pictures but I wanted something a little more technical.
Thanks, Johnny |

Hahhaha, sorry I meant pictures like the ones that were in RCE just recently but maybe something that shows their cages and suspensions. Nothing like stealing their top secret documents.
Thanks, Johnny |

Was gooing to suggest (until I saw your address) trying the museum at the Nurburgring - they have a number of current(ish) DTM cars there, and at least one 'naked' Astra.
Second suggestion would be going to www.nurburgring.de, and either hunting through the links, or going on to the forum and posting a similar message. I found the people on there (mainly german) amazingly helpful, and if you get any german replies you can google language the whole page - a bit pigeon english, but good enough to make sense. I entered one round of the RCN at the ring in October, and got an amazing amount of help and information from the people there (especially Uwe) ( explaining specific detail etc)- car sailed through scrutineering with no problems whatsoever. - you might as well use their knowledge on all things German - and you may make a few friends along the way ! good luck ! |

The pics that were in RCE are dwelling on my laptop with a load more (inc some CAD from Audi) along with the text - that will all go up on the website in the next couple of weeks.
And yes getting hold of them was rather like pulling hens teeth. |

I was hoping for pics of the cars under construction
Images like those on the RCE site can be grabbed through open garage doors at race meetings (I'm not saying they're not interesting shots - because they are, I was just hoping for more stripped back shots - a naked spaceframe for example). |

closest you'll get I think is that CAD from Audi - but I'm not giving up - I'll get the spaceframe shots just for you Bert... somehow.
But the third pic in the set does show the bare spaceframe pretty much Last edited by ss_collins; 4 Jan 2008 at 13:58. |
