Nurburgring 24H - TV coverage?
Is there any TV coverage of the 2005 Nurburgring 24H which took place last weekend?

Don't know about non-German channels. Maybe Motors TV will do some coverage because they entered a team.
It's a shame this race gets almost no attention outside Germany. |

it wasnt that bad ! one of the nice things was they had an absolutley gorgous female pit reporter ... ( not that that had anything to do with racing ) lol...Dirk Muller wouldnt even talk to her until he has kissed her twice 1st . Monster , i did tape it all if you need to see it , but it is with German commentary though . |

Lets hope Motors TV gives the race some coverage, this is one of the best GT/Touring car races in the world and itd be a shame to not get any coverage. We got some coverage last year from Motors TV and have in the past got some coverage from Sky Sports "World Motorsports" programme, so hopefully we will get a little.

It was better the years before. First time they did a broadcast (dunno, bout '7 or 8 years ago) DSF really set new standards for such an event. But now they're turning more and more into a "sexy clips" and shopping channel tv kind of thing. Better to repeat F1 qualifiying two times on saturday evening, than showing live footage from the ring .
BTW, she's Abt's girlfriend. |

Motors TV will show a 90' highlight, featuring both the race and a behind-the-scene look at our team entered in the event, and eventually winner in it's class !
1st transmission will be on may 21st @ 14.30 with a repeat the same day @22.00 Motors TV |

I thought Motors coverage was excellent, I was marshalling on Post 134 & didn't have a clue what was happening in the race, the video now puts it all into place. I'll no doubt buy the book when it comes out in September, I've got to have something to keep me going until next years race when we'll do it all again.

Well, before I shoot myself in the foot, I'll ask one of the guys working at our company. He used to be her teammate at Alfa.

Phew, no shot in the foot. I knew it for once!
http://www.frankbaumann.ch/WEArtikel...tasZeitung.htm here it states, near the end, that she was married to Marc (only in german I'm afraid). |
