No, he'll be racing NASCAR at Atlanta.
You heard it here first. |

Why would he want to? The Force India was definitely the faster car! If he had done that restart right he probably would have won!

The rumours have come from the Italian press, which suggest he'll be confirmed in the next couple of days. And it might not just be for this season - there are suggestions that 1) Massa's tests have not gone well and he may not be racing in F1 again and 2) Ferrari aren't happy with the demands Alonso's management are making, including number 1 status

Ferrari will find out tomorrow if Massa can race again this season,or if ever (Bononi may know more about this ).

I was wondering about this, Bononi had lots of info on Massa following his accident - is he/she some sort of insider within the Massa camp? Sorry if I'm missing something here, just interested!

Fisi knows that Force India might be quick at Monza, but from Singapore onwards they won't be fighting for podiums.
If Ferrari offer Fisi the seat until Massa comes back (at least 3 races, maybe 5) and a test and reserve driver position at Ferrari for the next few years I think he would happily take that. It would work well for FI - they could evaluate Liuzzi for the remaining races before next year. |

Fisi dodged the question and said he'd be with Force India in Monza... the rumor must be true!

Force India are expecting Fisi to get 'the call' from Ferrari and expect the deal to be done within the next 24 hours.

Is money a factor in this?
Points are rumoured to be worth c.£250k each. Based on yesterday, FI would be expecting Fisi in a FI to pick up points in Monza. Likely to be 3-4 points (could be more, could be less depending on how the weekend goes). So we're talking about it costing FI maybe £1million in prize money to let Fisi go. If Badoer races, Ferrari will not expect to pick up points. Even if they have Fisi in the car, due to his unfamiliarity with the Ferrari, he would not be expected to pick up more than a couple of points. So why would Ferrari pay FI £1 million, plus Fisi's salary, plus some compensation fro inconvenience when they only stand to gain £500k? From a financial point of view it makes no sense. |

I'd much rather see Fisi win Monza in the Force 1ndia (which the car might now be well capable of) than s*ck in a Ferrari.
And Luca Badoer still is the current lap record holder for F1 cars at Monza, so to boot him just before his home race for someone with less experience in the car would be nonsensical. Ferrari, replace him at Singapore with street circuit expert Sebastien Bourdais if you must ... |

Force India not too happy with Ian Phillip's comments to BBC
http://www.forceindiaf1.com/index/pa...56/news_id/222 Can't see why myself - it was just speculation anyway. |

Amusing to read that Ian Phillips is not authorised to speak to the media. He seems to do plenty of talking when he's on R5 live.

Mallya is rumoured to still owe Ferrari at least some of the bill for last year's engine supply. Perhaps they have offered to eliminate the debt in exchange for Fisi?

Yeah I was shocked by that comment about Ian Philips. That told him, in no uncertain terms!

I think the Force India will be faster than the Ferrari at Monza, so maybe they don't want to lose their star driver for that event, simple as that. |

The thread title ought to have a question mark at the end until such time as it is confirmed.

It read to me like someone internally, perhaps on the PR side trying to score points against Ian Phillips who I guess is the sponsor liasion side. Whatever it reads as VERY unprofessional. Do you think this might signal the end for IP at Jordan Korma then Strider?
