This is very possible. The original date is May 18-20. Zhuhai International Circuit has announced the original date on its website.

A giant gap isn't good (and is the TV time paid for?), but it probably makes more sense to have the race close to the time of Surfers.

It is really sad that we have two big gaps in the schedule this year. They really need to work on this and make sure that their races are going to run before they schedule them. This is not good at all, Denver now this! Also, why is it reported on Speed before ChampCar releases - this has been happening far too often. OWRS owners, hear us and keep your web site updated please.

This situation is not ideal for fans and we have been saying this for 3 years now. I'm a bit upset at the change in dates however these changes make business sense as it will avoid much costs to the series for moving the series over in Asia. This will open race dates for Europe and America for the next season.

Which begs the question, coyote, why wasn't it done in the first place? That's why Ansan was supposedly done.

Very true Indycool however the difference between this series and another series for me is that when something is done wrong they change it. I do believe Mr. Johnson will end up being fired if too many things like this happens.

IMO, if Johnson is fired, think he's just a scapegoat. I don't think he's allowed to make any more decisions than Eidswick was.

It is rumoured that the FIA has not sanctioned the new date. The FIA is concerned that it will be a clash with F1 in Shanghai.
I think the Chinese media will find it difficult to attend and report on two major races within the same month. I think CCWS will be quite well suited to run with the Asian Festival of Speed (AFOS), scheduled for 3/4 November. Maybe they can move to 28 Oct and run together with AFOS races, including Formula BMW Asia and Formula Asia V6 by Renault, as support to CCWS. |

I wish they would let us know , I have to apply for the day off work to see the race , I guess I could always just apply and then cancel it if I have too.
