Rubio should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2015 WTCC Race of Argentina

Preview of the event here:

http://d1oo2un3qpiryo.cloudfront.net...na_preview.pdf

So, first race of the season. Don't really expect much to change. One thing sure - it definetely is going to a much better start than at Marrakech. A non-Citroen win in Race 2 would be good to see

BTW, new WTCC show will be online after Race 2:
http://www.fiawtcc.com/news/detail/i...-Line-revealed

Also, acoording to the prieview, the qualifying will be live on fiawtcc.com as well. Finally. Useful for those, who doesn't have Eurosport 2.

I don't see how you can say that. WRC, TUSC, NASCAR & V8 Supercars have all already started and we've already had Dakar, the Dubai 24h & Bathurst 12h.

I was going to post exactly this but decided against it. Dubai, Bathurst and Dakar are obviously one-off events, but as you say WRC, TUSC and V8 Supercars have already started...and I consider them to be 'main' motorsports.

I think some people choose one or two championships to follow and then are oblivious to the rest.

I would actually say, personally, WTCC has fallen to the bottom of my list thanks to the new cars. There was some terribly boring racing last year, and some very poor grids. Never understood the attraction of adding aero to everything and increasing the speed of the cars- if I wanted a procession I'd watch DTM!

Can't say I have any interest or motivation to follow WTCC this year.

i go by international series like FIA WTCC as my main motorsport but i do like to watch other tin top action. due to issues beyond my control this is one race that i have to miss (in this case a lack of Virgin Media as it has Eurosport and freeview does not)

Bennani just beached it in Q2 and is out
the Citroens really seem to be struggling in Qualifying

edit: ok, Q2 over I'm taking everything back

WHAT was that from Lopez? Wow. Of course, everyone else in Q3 made mistakes - but 1,2 sec gap is stunning

Some post-qualifying conclusions:

1) Citroen still has a big gap, but Hondas are closer, especially if compare their 2014 gap in Termas which was about the same but Citroens were heavier then by 20-30kg
2) It will enourmosly tough to beat Lopez
3) Lada has got huge potential
4) When running race simulations, cars were pretty equal, so it might not even be a double win for Citroen, though with such pace from Lopez I'm afraid it might
5) TV coverage sucks.. No graphics is not good even though they've got a new timekeeper this year

Qualifying coverage has been very poor even by Eurosports standards. Lack of on-screen timing graphics was even more frustrating given that the commentary team were still in the UK and using internet 'live' timing that was lagging behind what was happening on track or just died completely.

Add to that only one to the two microphones were working so we could barely hear a word Matt Neal said.

Wow. Fantastic drive from Norbi. P17--> P6

Sorry for Thompson. Huff a little bit deserved this, he push Bennani's car to D'Aste's Cruze in the early phase on the race.

To be honest, Mrslozz has hit the nail on the head

If you actually tune in, with the intention of watching this, instead of just coming across it on the telly then you have my sympathies.

Eurosport couldn't back a winner if you told them Red Rum was a good horse and gave them a time machine they would bet on something else through sheer stupidity. They have invested millions in this series and it is and has been a total dead horse for years.

If anyone thinks watching a field that contains a car a clear second and a half faster than anything else out there is a good thing, then you clearly need help.

I'm sorry, but you do.

It's like BTCC, full of has beens, one time heroes and some blokes with a bunch of money who can't get GT rides.

In Hispanic America, the Termas races aired on Fox Sports main feed, unlike F1 which has switched to Fox Sports 3.

WTCC boss François Ribeiro wants that Matias Rossi, Agustin Canapino and Nestor Girolami test in his series of car.

Good idea, the only way of catching Lopez (im not saying citroen, just lopez) is with drivers of his calibre, wich WTCC lacks... (Muller is in decline, Tarquini is old, Huff has a poor machine and the rest is a second off )

Lol touring cars in 1987 were garbage too!

I do like a bit of tin tip stuff, but this is about as entertaining as watching paint dry

Saw race one and that's probably enough until next year.

Was just luck I saw it after watching the football and it was embarrassing trying to justify watching it front of other less educated Motorsport followers. It started well when Eurosport had an in car interview with Rob Huff... during the adverts!

Tried to enjoy it but it really was dross. Literally the only interest in the championship is if either Muller or Loeb can keep Lopez honest.

Six foot nine???
Jesus his poor mother. That even made my eyes water.

Did nobody consider his size when opting for the civic? Matt Neal barely crams himself into his BTCC version.
