Although I could supply some of the aforementioned ale I don't think it's worthwhile for a cold Sunday and in the timescale involved.
What I am prepared to do is Supply a barrel for an evening at a two day event at Brands next year for you boys in orange.
If someone could let me know at least a week in advance of a suitable date then (and as long as I'm in the country) then I promise I will come up with the goods

My first visit to Brands for 4 or 5 years, looking forward to it.
It can't be any wetter than Hyde Park last Sunday

I certainly hope not. I had 9 layers on and some rain got through the lot!

I'll have a sixth (!) layer for this weekend in case it's as warm () as it was at the Truck's Sunday!

Gordon, don't for God's sake give Stephen the beer - he'll never share it

It's a lovely offer and I'd agree, something like DTM would be a good meeting.

Well .... another day of Meldrews with possibly a victor in there (and I don't mean the re-christened Mr Scott)

Cheers to the team on P4 for a great day, a tad cold but at least dry (made a change for 2012).

Thanks to the trainees and taster day folk for pitching in and I hope the joys of standing with your back to the oncoming cars added to the experience, hope to see you back on the bank next year.

See folks around

Any idea who won? Not that it mattered much because a very good (if somewhat quiet on P9) day, some cracking racing as usual all aided by some bright light that someone had managed to fit where the rain clouds usually hang, I don't know if the weather was having some kind of "swan song" but IIRC the last time the current bun shone down like that must have been, what, first meeting of the year before the rain set in? Snow for britcar, Wager anyone?

Thanks to all of you for today and the rest of the year.

This year's Victor was James Hebditch car #138 White Scirroco.
The youngest Victor yet, so I must have another fiddle with the handicap :-)

Must have been freezing on the bank. Have a great off season and see you next year.

...and as Victor, sorry Johnw hasn't mentioned it, a chunk of the money that went into today's raffle came from the Meldrew competitors who chucked it into John's Victor type flat cap at the drivers' briefing
