Hm, could it be that it's tied to JAF's announcement of a new car for GT300? Hoping that they bring a new version of the Mother Chassis.
On the other hand, I think we need to know who will be taking over Jenson Button's vacant seat. |

In SGT File magazine, Takeshi Tsuchiya talked about the next gen MC.
However, there are no rumors about the next gen MC so far. In the worst case, Tsuchiya might switch the chassis to FIA-GT3 next season. |

Yes, there was a rumor mainly on twitter that LeMans will withdraw from GT500 few days ago.
It was a rumor that Toyota won't deliver GT500 machine to LeMans. Team LeMans' parent company is Okayama International Circuit, and its parent company is an auto parts manufacturer ASKA. Therefore, it's not because of the lack of funds of the team. And Akio Toyoda commented that this year's 6 teams would compete by new Supra. So I think LeMans will participate in GT500 also next season. https://www.aska.co.jp/ Last edited by Japanese Samurai; 11 Nov 2019 at 12:39. |

Takeshi Tsuchiya says that it was a painful decision not to use 86 MC.
he will choose next season's car for those who support him rather than his feelings. He will do his best to develop the next gen MC car one day. Judging from his comment, he will use FIA-GT3 car (RC F GT3?) next season. https://twitter.com/TsuchiyaTakeshi/...42687827378176 https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...00003953086541 |

Takeshi Tsuchiya interview about chassis change.
https://jp.motorsport.com/supergt/ne...se-mc/4597854/ *Main sponsor Hoppy suggested him to switch the chassis to FIA-GT3 after the SUGO race. *One of the reason is that Tsuchiya can't give results to everyone who supports him. *Another reason is that the development of next-gen MC has stopped. *For the Japanese DIY spirit, a next-gen MC balanced with FIA-GT3 is required. *Current MC was not accepted by FIA-GT3 users. *They were able to become champions by MC not because the MC was fast, but because the tires were excellent. After that, 50kg of success ballast was imposed by BoP and they had a hard time. *The race must be a place to train engineers and mechanics. MC is its symbol. But that value was not accepted by everyone. *In the 2020 season, Team Tsuchiya will use FIA-GT3 car. If they succeed next season, they will prove to be thanks to the mechanics, engineers and drivers, not by MC. |

A shame to lose the MC and original GT300 cars in the future if the new MC doesn’t go ahead. It’s part of the spirit of the class.

JAF-GT cars like Prius & CR-Z were too expensive for privateers (you know development of those cars were aided by respective manufacturers). Hiroto Kaneso (team director of apr) said his team is more like a semi-constructor instead of a mere privateer. JAF-GT & MC cars were above GT3 cars at some time but I remember some teams like GAINER felt MC cars were too OP with 1100kg minimum weight. Maybe that's why MC cars were added +50kg weight. Should have gone half way and been 1125 or 1130kg. Their power is too low though. Once a straight comes they don't have the juice to keep up or to block.

NOB Taniguchi says that SGT should introduce one-make tire system.
https://ameblo.jp/nob-taniguchi/entry-12547557301.html "I personally prefer one-make tire system. If you compete under the same conditions, you will see your true ability, and if you win, you will be happy, if you lose, you will be disappointed. However, at present, everyone will only make excuses. I would like to introduce a bidding system in SGT and to shuffle tire manufacturers every 3 years. Well, some teams (BS user? ) don't like it, but I think it's more fun and rewarding to have proper competition." |

There was a rumor that Team LeMans wanted to use Yoshiaki Katayama (Team owner's son) for Super Formula. So there seemed to be a dispute between the team and Toyota. However, I don't think that would lead Team LeMans to split with Toyota. |

And there is a rumor of feud between Team LeMans (its parent company Okayama International Circuit) and Toyota.
Toyota's junior driver, Kazuto Kodaka, had a trouble with the Okayama International Circuit. OIC refused his Okayama round F3 entry in this June. There seems to be some trouble between OIC and Kodaka. However, this seems to be far from the reason for the separation between Toyota and Team LeMans. |

Hoping that the fued between Team Le Mans and Toyota will be resolved. Otherwise, the champion might jump ship to another manufacturer.
