Shame we only get one vote, really!
I stuck my neck out and voted for Alonso, because I have a hunch that he is going to be the best driver to come through Minardi's ranks. |

Yeah, but Pier IS Minardi. Loyal to the cause. Thcik and thin. A legend amongst drivers. Besides, I liked LB when he was a Forti too.

Minardi drivers are always #1. This does NOT mean YOU Tarso.
It's not fair, it's too hard to choose - Martini, Badoer, Gene, Katayama, Alonso... They're all Minardi drivers - and that's all that matters!

I went w/ Gene...because he got Minardi a point (Euro GP, '99) in absolutely hectic conditions in a Minardi that did not, on basis of the powers of the car, really deserve to finish 6th (this is not to undercut the greatness of Minardi).
Martini would be 2nd because of his loyalty. Yet, you have to realize that Martini also drove the most competitive of the Minardi's (w/ the Ferrari and Lamborghini engines). Gene got his point in an already dated Zetec. Gene was also responsible for the high finishes in 2000 that gave Faenza the lead over Guayancourt in the race for 10th. I hope Marc gets a good ride for next year. He deserves it. And, besides, he was smart enough to decline the ride at Prost. He's too busy preparing the mounts that Ralf and J.P. will dominate with |

Alonso,
He's really impressed me this year. Hopefully, he can score a point before the year is out. |

Martini, without a doubt. But Alonso may become the best driver to have driven for them in fact Id be very surprised if he didn't.

where is tuero?
btw, i voted for alonso. because he's brought the team a heck of a lot of attention when they need it the most, ie now. martini was god, and christian fittipaldi has their highest finish, and has gone on to the best things, but you can't say no to fernando, can you? |

I would have to say Martini. Second on the grid at Phoenix 1990. Amazing.

I think Alonso will go on to be the best - it was between him, Trulli and Martini.
Mind you, Murray Walker did claim that 'Ukyo Katayama is undoubtedly the finest driver Grand Prix racing has ever produced' so it was a tough one..... |

I'm just FLABBERGHASTED that NO ONE has voted for Pedro Lamy!! Now THERE'S a driver who should have gone on to great things. Shame.
