Turn 1
Will Sato have another blinding start and leap ahead of Michael to turn one?
Will Trulli or Alonso pass them both, since they are noted for quick starts? Can Michael hang on to the lead with his more than a half a second lead on pole? I think if Michael ends up behind Sato after turn one and can't get past him on the first lap, he will have a difficult time winning this race. |

More likely he'll hold on until the pitstops and put in some blinding laps when Sato pits. And then take the lead.

I think he wants to get there first though. He really wants to not have anyone close.

I suspect either a BAR or a Renault will exit turn 1 in first place. If Michael is 2nd, I'd back him all the way to the bank for the win. 3rd or worse will make it harder.

It will be interesting, as Martin Brundle stated during qualifying that there is a problem with brake locking on turn 1.

I don't know whats up with the Ferrari off the line. Everyone seems to be getting the jump on them.
But like knowlesy said, if he finds himself in second, he will put in the fast laps when Sato pits and regain the lead. He has mastered that "technique". |

I think that Trulli could be leading into turn 1 ....Taku and Michael on the front row could be really interesting .

Ok, Mr Brawn, but him on 3 stops gives us very little insight. WHat about the other 19 cars?

What if MS is lighter than Sato? I expect Trulli and Alonzo to make the best starts. Maybe Sato can get ahead of MS but I think he is on the dirty side of the track so who knows. Trulli may be in the best position besides being on pole. If they are side by side (Sato and MS) I think MS will back off because he has much more to lose.

I think if any of those 2 get in front of MS he will probvably re-pass them during the In and Out laps... and overall over a race distance MS is the more consistant

also i think MS is good at winning 'emotional' GP's... i bet he will get extra incentive by having a chance to dedicate the win to Umberto Agnelli...

According to Martin Brundle, the Bridgestone hard tyre (which apparently all the runners are on) isn't that brilliant over a single lap? Maybe Michael is light? Although Shells fuel apparently is lighter but goes further?

I actually figure Trulli to be the one challenging Taku and Michael in turn one.
If Trulli gets ahead, I do think the quickness of the Ferrari will let Michael get 'round him in a couple of laps. Rubens is the guy to watch this weekend me thinks. If he is again on a 2 stopper, he could very well climb into P1 or 2 after his first stop. I figure Michael will do what he has been a master of this season, 3-5 extra laps with nobody in his way, even he has been held up for the first stint, he will likely be in P1 after his first stop. |

*fingers crossed* It worked last time! |

The current neuterbergring has a tricky 1st corner complex that will(hopefully) take out all the unwanted drivers such as chop-shuey,ralf shuntmaker and couldn'thard.....lol
well actually i hope shuey gets punted off at the first corners and (with an undamaged car)has to go through the pack.He is good to see on the limit |
