Conspiracy theorists...
...I have a few questions.
1) Why would a team pay a driver many millions of dollars a year (although I hear that they ask to be paid in Euros these days) to make him lose a race he's winning? 2) Why do people assume the FIA/Ferrari/Ron Dennis/ITV have some evil, ulterior motive behind everything that they do? 3) Why do people think that Juan-Pablo wasn't playing tennis? I look forward to some interesting replies, feel free to add some more questions - these are just off the top of my head. |

Here are the answers:
1) Nobody would do that. 2) Because it makes for entertaining discussion 3) See answer to 2). |

Because unfortunately people are just not as trusting these days are they? and sometimes with good reason. I have asked myself if Ferrari are sandbagging a little this year so that the other teams can win races, BUT no that is just silly. We love intrigue, it's a bit like gossip, some people just love it! The FIA and Ferrari well we don't know do we really? some of us just like to THINK that they get away with anything and everything not true I am sure.

3. Because some wittness said he saw him, and because it could be true for JPM. I don't think *anyone* would say that for Kimi, MS, RB or sth

it would be pretty cool to see ferrari in a position where they could use the 3rd car next season. how the mighty have fallen.
there was talk of DR rejoining BAR and all of a sudden Sato's car has started developing problems again. fog_shadow |

where's the connection between RB and DC? I really don't see it. McLaren always had two equal drivers. Now, if Hakkinen was 40 points ahead, is it unfair for McLaren to support him?

ITV said that Montoya missed the pit call...but anyway he got blacked flag so it doesnt matter or Raikkonens engineers could have just called it better

Remember that two people making a plan together to go and by a pint of milk is a conspiracy.

Having said all that, some theories do defy belief. I'm still waiting for the 'wasn't it convenient that Fisi had Hydraulics failure when Alonso was closing on him' comments, though I haven't checked all the ten-tenths threads yet! As for JPM, I did think that it was odd that he didn't come in, but if they did called him in and he didn't hear correctly, then it's just one of those things. |

There's a whole thread on the Fisico "bad luck" http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68840 And yes, I am one who believes that he has become their number 2 driver. Subject to the luck that a number two always seems to have. |

Of course not! The more points the merrier. At the same time, he is getting No 2 treatment, and I wish Renault would just come clean about it. |

Is it possible that some drivers are simply harder on their cars then others and therefore more prone to mechanical problems?

A conspiracy theory would be that Button threw his BAR into the wall on purpose just to ensure he doesn't make up ground on Alonso, so he's no-where near 75% of the championship leaders points....don't you think it's funny he only hit the wall AFTER Alonso was out of the race...hmmm a smell a conspiracy..no...wait, that's just the pizza I had for lunch. Didn't think conspiracy smelled like vegetarian pizza.
